The Association of African Development Finance Institutions (AADFI) is pleased to announce its 2010 Annual AADFI Forum for CEOs in African Development Banking & Finance Institutions to be held at the Whitesands Hotel & Resort, Dar-Es-Salaam, United Republic of Tanzania from November 30 – December 2, 2010.
This Forum is being organized in collaboration with Tanzania Investment Bank (TIB) as Host Institution; and the African Development Bank (AfDB) as Associate. The 2010 Forum is part of the activities marking the Anniversary celebrations of Tanzania Investment Bank (TIB).
In pursuit of the AADFI current effort at advancing strategies for strengthening African DFIs, there is need to take stock of the performance of African DFIs after 50 years of mixed operation with a view to evolving new approaches for the future. Hence, the theme of this year’s Annual CEOs Forum, which is “Financing Development in Africa – 50 Years and After: Achievements, Challenges and Perspectives for African DFIs”.
The Forum will provide opportunity to address DFIs challenges and other issues affecting them in a holistic manner. It will also review various efforts and measures already in place to step up DFIs efficiency and to ascertain their impact.
