Green Finance: Tools and Opportunities for Banks
[Monitoring, Reporting & Verification of the GHG Emission Reductions in Green (J-MRV)]

The Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC), and the Association of Development Financing Institutions in Asia and the Pacific (ADFIAP), will be hosting a seminar on “Green Finance: Tools and Opportunities for Banks”, on May 12, 2011 from 9:00 a,m. to 11:00 a.m. at Suite 5, 12F, Development Bank of the Philippines, Sen. Gil Puyat Avenue cor. Makati Avenue, Makati City.

The seminar will introduce JBIC’s newly-launched financial instrument called “Global action for Reconciling Economic growth and Environmental preservation (GREEN) that support projects aiming to prevent global warming as well as its Guidelines for Measurement, Reporting and Verification of the GHG Emission Reductions in GREEN (the “J-MRV Guidelines”). A briefing on DBP’s environmental programs and initiatives will also be held.
